For many years EAA Chapter 245 has hosted a Fly-in in August. Visitors could either fly in or drive to visit us, enjoy good company and good food, and to view many different aircraft.
On Sunday August 11, 2013 our annual Fly-in event will include an Open House to show visitors and the public what EAA and home building aircraft is all about.
We plan to have numerous technical displays and several demonstration areas. Some example demonstration may be engine assembly and dis-assembly, wood aircraft restoration, home cast aluminium parts, home built engines, parts going into a small HP radial engine, lots of design information on the chapter's shelter project, wood rib building demonstrations, and riveting demonstrations. There will be videos and a presentation on the EAA organization and the benefits of membership.
There should be numerous certified and home-built aircraft on display.
Watch this space for our plans for our next fly in event!
